1200 dustbins distributed to residents in PGIMER

Chandigarh, July 29, 2020: PGIMER Campus Residents Welfare Society, in collaboration with Deptt. of Hospital Administration, PGIMER distributed 1200 dustbins for the campus households in PGIMER today.
The initiative taken under Swachch Bharat Abhiyan Mission, had Dr Pankaj Arora, Associate Professor, Deptt. of Hospital Administration as the Chief Guest and Ravi Sharma, Sanitary Officer as the Guest of Honour.
The other office bearers of PGIMER Campus Residents Welfare Society included R K Khainchi, Chairman, D B Thapa, President, Mr. Sukhdev Singh, Sr Vice President, Dinesh Kumar, Vice President, Raj Kumar, Vice President. Rajan Kumar, General Secretary and Bhuram Singh, Addl. General Secretary.
Lauding the initiative, Dr. Pankaj Arora, stated, “PGIMER Campus Residents Welfare Society has alway ensured the well being of the residents in the campus.”
Dr. Arora informed that each household had been given two dustbins, one green and one blue. While the green was for wet waste, the blue was for dry waste.
The move will ensure that waste is segregated at source.
