Mahatama Gandhi once said:
“The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others.”
Abiding to this statement are our life saviours – our Doctors.
To express our gratitude to the physi-cians and doctors for their dedicated services round the clock, July 1 is cele-brated as Doctor’s Day every year.
This day is celebrated for acknowledg-ing the services of doctors and their huge contribution to medical advancement in India.
Doctors have proved to contribute their services through their pool of knowledge and experience and shown remarkable improvement in the medical field.
This day commemorates one of the greatest representative – legendary physi-cian and second Chief Minister of West Bengal, Dr. Bidhan Chandra Roy.
It is a tribute to all the medical staff who have dedicated their lives in the service of others.
Being a doctor is surely not just every-one’s cup of tea, one may have sleepless nights and heartless days, working day and night despite the odds.
It is the nursing fraternity which, dur-ing this time of public health emergency with COVID-19 pandemic, are at a high risk of being affected with the deadly Coronavirus, but are still taking a tremendous loadon themselves to take care of a large number of patients.
Honour the contribution of a doctor, trust their knowledge and thank them for their time and effort every time you visit a doctor.
