Around 100 donate blood at Rotary Camp promoted by the Visually and Physically Challenged

  • Ram, Lakshman, Ravan and Megnath of the Uttrakhand Ramleela Mandli, Sector 40  come to the Camp to give their blessings and donate blood
  • Bollywood actor Kanwal Preeet Singh, Director-Producer Ojaswwee Sharma and Wheelchair Model Somya Thakur also donate blood

Chandigarh, October 5, 2019: In a boost to the voluntary blood donation movement,  the RCS Positive Abilities Rotaract Club  – whose members are all either visually or physically challenged – organised a Blood Donation Camp today in association with Rotary Chandigarh Shivalik and  Pioneer Education. The Camp was held opposite the office of Pioneer Education, SCO 320, Sector 40, Chandigarh and visually or physically challenged Amrinder, Mohit, Navjot, Kuljit, Somya, Suman, Harish and others were present to motivate the blood donors. Around 100 units of blood  were collected, according to Prof. L K Gupta, CEO, Pioneer Education and Secretary, Rotary Chandigarh Shivalik.

According to Aneesh Bhanot, President, Rotary Chandigarh Shivalik, “The blood donation movement got a fillip when Ram, Lakshman, Ravan, Megnath and members of  the Organizing Committee of the Uttarakhand Ramleela Mandli & Dusshera Committee, Sector 40 came, blessed the Camp and donated blood. Wheelchair Model Somya Thakur,  Bollywood actor Kanwal Preet Singh and Director-Producer Ojaswwee Sharma also donated blood.”
