Beauty queen makes a difference in pandemic, campaigns for the needy

Mohali, June 24, 2020: Mohali girl
Rhythm Singh Randhawa
who passed out from
Yadavindra Public
School(YPS) here, has many
beauty pageants under her
belt at a very young age.
She has won Miss Punjab
2017, Top Model Worldwide
India 2018, Miss International
Tourism India 2018
and Miss Femina India
Shining Star 2019 titles.
Rhythm’s beauty is not
just skin deep, she is making
a difference through ‘meaningful
social work’ even in
these trying times.
Rhythm was always passionate
about doing something
which could help people
in need.
It is to achieve this objective
that she co founded an
NGO Fikarmand Kissan
Welfare Society(FKWS) in
2018 with her mother.
Today, FKWS provides
child education, especially
to girls, takes care of the
health of the elderly and
conducts campaigns for the
benefit of farmers.
Says Rhythm,“I decided to
use the platform of FKWS
to help those in need during
the COVID 19 pandemic. I
rallied around like minded
people and started a campaign
to distribute essential
items to those who were in
dire requirement of these.
We are distributing masks
and sanitizers by following
all safety precautions to the
underprivileged and to people
who don’t have access to
these. I also created an
online campaign to focus on
mental health in these trying
times, as this is the need of
the hour. This is being done
by spreading positive messages
through social media.
Not just this, my initiative is
also reaching out to rural
people and providing them
with the opportunity of an
extra income by teaching
them how to make homemade
masks to fight COVID
In the campaign spearheaded
by Rhythm, children
from Patiala’s Deaf & Dumb
School, were provided help.
The philanthropic activities
also spread out to Moga
district in Punjab and
Not just the tricity and
Punjab, the campaign spread
its wings to even Pune and
India’s capital, New Delhi.
Meanwhile Rhythm is all
set to make her acting debut
in a music video track
‘Tadke Supna Aaya’ opposite
singer Jashan Singh.
She has also been offered
roles in upcoming Punjabi
film projects and a web
