Chandigarh, July 12, 2020: Dr Neeza Singh, Librarian, T.S. Cen-tral State Library Chandigarh was invited as a Resource Person by the International Network of Emerging Library Innovators India & South Asia and Asia Network of Library Innovators’ Foundation for the webinar – Sustainable Development and South Asian Public Libraries.
Dr Neeza spoke on the topic ‘Public Library:An inclusive space for the com-munity’.
She spoke about how public libraries can be inclusive spaces for the community including inclusive by design, physical space, digi-tal inclusion, collection, inclusive activities and serv-ices, partnership and collab-oration, marketing and advo-cacy and attitude of staff. She gave practical examples on how it can be incorporat-ed in public libraries.
The webinar was attended by participants from Philip-pines, Myanmar, Malaysia, Bangladesh, Nepal, Sri Lanka and India.
The presentation was well appreciated by all the participants.
Binoy Mathew, Librarian, Vallapatnam Panchayat Library, Kerala moderated the event.
