Chandigarh, September 15, 2020: With an intent to further facilitate patients, PGIMER’s Tele-Psychiatry Service has gone a step further by increasing the registration timings for the ease of the patients.
While detailing about the initiative, Prof. S.K.Mattoo, Head, Deptt. of Psychiatry, PGIMER stated, “In order to seek tele-consultation services, patients will have to call the dedicated telephone numbers as per the given timings for registration.
Prof. Mattoo further stated, “Once the registration process is done through any of the afore-mentioned numbers, patients would be contacted for consultation as soon as possible, either the same day or the next day only during OPD working hours. The patients are requested to provide a working mobile number preferably with Whats App facility during the registration for ease of communication with doctors.”
“However, these are not emergency helpline numbers of PGIMER and for any emergency, the patients need to contact the nearest health facility or EMOPD, PGIMER,” reiterated Prof. Mattoo.
