Recovered cases are two times of active cases nationally

New Delhi, August 4, 2020: The Union Health Secretary today informed in a media briefing that the Active Cases in the country are 5,86,298 and Recovered Cases are 12,30,509.
The Case Fatality Rate as on today is 2.10%, which is the lowest since the first lockdown of March 25, 2020.
This is the outcome of the well conceived and effectively implemented strategy of “Test, Track and Treat” which has guided the COVID management in the country.
The management strategy of COVID-19 also focuses on early detection and isolation of cases with seamless patient management and prioritising care of the high-risk population using field health care workers leading to increase in recoveries across the country.
The first ‘Make in India’ BEL make Ventilator rolled out in market on 30 May 2020.
In less than 2 months more than 18000 Ventilators supplied to States/UTs / Central Govt Hospitals/DRDO facilties.
He also informed that at the present moment we have three Indian vaccines which are in different phases of clinical testing.
