Chandigarh, July 10, 2020: Some incidents are really wonderful – they make you laugh a lot, even though they are on very serious subjects and important topics.
Example One :
These days, a slugfest is going on between parents and schools all over the tricity, Punjab, Haryana and Himachal Pradesh, though it has settled a little bit by now.
We have heard lot of speeches on the social media by various people talking eloquently on bote sides of the issue.
But one mother really took the cake. She created havoc as she stormed into a school at Patiala and roared out in a very impressive performance.
What impressed everyone was that she was demanding a fee from the school as she had been keeping her child all these days, teaching the child, feeding, providing inter-net and electricity all these days, so the school should pay her as she had been taking up their responsi-bility, she argued.
What could the poor prinicpal say? Nothing, of course.
Every year, Van Mahotsav is cel-ebrated with much fanfare and many VIPs are called/arranged to plant saplings by various organi-sations and bodies.
Last year, on 16th July 2019, while celebrating one such VanMahotsav a plant of “Kalaptaru” was planted in Panjab University by the Chief Guest in presence of all who matter inthe Union Territo-ry and the University.
Yesterday a friend of mine informed me that the plant, which was supposed to survive fora thou-sand years, cannot be seen any-where on the site where it had been planted.
This was simply amazing to me and I never thought our very effi-cient office does not take care of saplings planted by our Chief Guest!
