Solitude is blissful. It is a state beyond being alone, cut off from the noise and din of the outside world. It is a state of a silent mind, free from the shackles of mental chatter.
Solitude is being with your Self. It is solitude that triggers off a dia-logue with the Self – the soul, the spirit, the Divine consciousness, to seek answers to the mysteries of life.
One should cultivate pockets of solitude in their daily grind. It is like a base camp that mountaineers fre-quent during their ascent from peak to peak and finally conquer the sum-mit.
It gives insight to discover your inner calling i.e. how to add mean-ing to your life.
Solitude is the mirror for your soul, which brings to the fore the rights and the wrongs through intro-spection and retrospection.
It brings into focus the blurred images and mirages, assists us in
determining their veracity and hence shields us against deception.
It helps us to determine whether the ladder we are on, is leaning against the right wall.
Solitude is like the mariner’s com-pass, highlighting the direction we are heading in.
Solitary is being single, not social or gregarious. Being solitary is staying aloof. It is a personality trait.
Solitariness builds a shell around you. It can generate complexes. It breeds fear of mingling in the fabric of the society.
A solitary person is like a frog in a pond. It leads to stagnation and ulti-mately degeneration and annihila-tion of the Self.
Solitude is a short break from day-to-day life to rejuvenate and re-focus your mental faculties.
In solitude we feel His presence. In solitude, dawns the realization of His blessings. Solitude is the gap between our fingers which is in fact
