Two day ‘Resplendent MUN 2020’ held successfully

Chandigarh, August 25, 2020: The Maur Education Welfare Society, in association with SPSTI, organised ‘The Resplendent MUN 2020 – a domain of independent ideas’ on August 22 and 23, 2020.
The first day witnessed lively discussions in the UNHRC committee with the agenda – Protection of civilians in conflict and post-conflict regions.
The conference was launched by Nikhil Garg, designated as an Executive Director of MEWS.
The conference, headed by Radhakrishna Gaur proved to be a complete success with over 20 delegates taking active participation from all across the country.
The delegate of Belgium (Niti) was awarded as the best delegate and the delegate of the USA (Vijjual) was awarded high commendation.
The event became auspicious with the presence of a distinguished personality, Prof. Jagtar Singh, Coordinator of Media and information literacy university network of India, UNESCO, who with his motivational words guided the youth to lead the way.
The second day of the conference witnessed extremely enthusiastic and lively discussions in the AIPPM committee headed by Naman Jain, Soham, and Bunny Ayush, with over 30 delegates participating in the discussions.
The committee was set up with the agenda of a review of 6 years working of the NDA government.
The representative of Manoj Jha was awarded as the best delegate and the representative of Yogi Adityanath was awarded a high commendation.
This session was chaired by M.L.Garg,Founder patron, MAUR Education Welfare Society & Director SPSTI.
Dr. Neeza Singh, Librarian, T.S Central State Library, Chandigarh was the Chief Guest of Honour.
They apprised the participating delegates of the problems of the Indian political systemthe use of information in the information era.
With Ishan Bansal, Secretary-general of the event and Nikhil Garg as the Chief Advisor, the event proved to be a complete success guiding the youth towards becoming a true leader of the 21st Century.wards “Atmanirbhar Bharat” in a big way.
