Chandigarh, July 3, 2020: Women empower-ment and women security were the key topics of discussion at a Webinar organised by Bharat Niti, in which 800 persons patrticipated.
Senior Supreme Court lawyer Monika Arora suggested to the women present there that if they feel their constitutional rights are being snatched they can go to the women cell or cyber cell and lodge a com-plaint. She said that women should not be harassed only because they raise their voice.
The main speaker, Muralidhar Rao, National General Secretary, BJP raised concerns about the viola-tion of freedom of expression of women.
He said that everybody has the right to have her say in a democratic setup and if there is a disagreement it must be sober and decent in tone.
He said that social media has empowered even a villager so much that she can demand and raise her concerns freely.
Renowned artist and Padmashree Malini Avsthi asked for complete empowerment and freedom to the women in this country to strengthen the central fibre of the nation.
She said that no matter how modern society grew, still a woman has to careful of what she is going to say. Women have still not gotten the freedom promised to them.
